2 degrees of separation: oil and gas in a low carbon world – launch of new research on company and asset-level capital expenditure risks
Investors are invited to the London launch event on 3 July for new research produced by the Carbon Tracker Initiative, in partnership with Legal & General Investment Management, AP7, FRR, PGGM, PKA and the PRI.
The research breaks new ground in providing investors with a detailed analysis of 69 oil and gas companies’ alignment with a 2 degree world, including the proportion of their future capital expenditure and production that falls outside a 2 degree carbon budget.
After presenting this research we will discuss how investors can use it to make their company engagement activities more robust. LGIM’s Meryam Omi (Head of Sustainability and Responsible Investment Strategy) will explain why they got involved with the work and their approach to the issue. The event is co-hosted by the PRI and Carbon Tracker, and supported by the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC).
The PRI and Carbon Tracker thank Legal & General Investment Management for hosting this event at their offices in London.
If you have any questions, please contact Paul Chandler.
This invite-only event is open to PRI signatories and IIGCC members. To request an invitation or more information for non-signatories, please contact Paul Chandler.
