This is an opportunity for an experienced professional  to join a growing organisation, dedicated to providing practical guidance to investors across various countries on the implementation of responsible investment practices. You will be interacting with asset owners and investors in Japan to build and sustain a strong presence for the PRI. You will be working with the Japan and London-based PRI teams to support signatories’ implementation of the PRI across different asset classes, such as equities, fixed income, private equity, property, microfinance, ESG-themed investments and more. 

You will report to the Head of Japan, Networks & Global Outreach. This position involves regional travel within Japan. Some international travel may be required. 


PRI Collaboration platform, intern

LOCATION: London

The PRI’s Collaboration Platform provides PRI signatories with a private forum to pool resources, share information and engage with listed companies, policymakers and other actors in the investment value chain on ESG issues. Over 500 PRI signatories have been involved in at least one collaborative initiative since the platform was launched at the end of 2006, and more than 900 collaborative proposals have been posted. 

The post-holder will proactively work with the current PRI Collaboration Platform by ensuring the content is up to date, the information is successfully tracked, newsletters and alerts are regularly sent out and statistics on the use of it by PRI signatories are regularly analysed. This position requires some knowledge and enthusiasm for sustainability and responsible investment. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and is at ease with using IT tools to upload online content and track information in our CRM system.


senior policy manager - maternity

The policy team provides tools and insight to international standard setters, signatories and policy makers to advance progress towards a regulatory and investment environment consistent with the implementation of PRI’s Mission Statement and the six Principles.

The successful applicant will be manage the day to day activities of the PRI’s EU and UK policy engagement activities. This includes supporting the PRI’s contribution to the EU High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance and working with stakeholders to implement the recommendations of the PRI’s UK Fiduciary Duty roadmap. They will also support the broader objectives of the team, including supporting and increasing PRI signatories’ engagement with sustainable finance policy. 

The senior policy manager will report to the head of policy.


Africa and middle east Network manager

LOCATION: Cape Town or Johannesburg, South Africa

This is an important role within PRI’s Global Networks & Outreach (GNO) team. The role is specifically focused on enhancing the PRI’s overall market impact and signatory satisfaction in the Africa & Middle East region, with a predominant focus on servicing the PRI’s network of approximately 50 signatories in South Africa. This full-time role involves supporting the coordination of the PRI’s signatory recruitment and coverage in South Africa, rest of Africa and the Middle East, as well as assisting with the coordination of the PRI’s other local market activities to support signatories’ implementation of the PRI across different asset classes, such as equities, fixed income, private equity, property, ESG-themed investments etc. The role requires regular domestic travel, primarily for signatory meetings and participation at industry events in South Africa. Periodic international travel to the PRI’s London office, the Middle East region and rest of Africa will also be required.

The PRI is offering a 10-week paid internship in the Policy and Research team. The individual should have a good understanding of corporate reporting practices. A business, accounting or finance degree or equivalent job experience is desirable. The project is to assist the policy team to examine corporate reporting practices in relation to the impact of climate change on asset valuations and subsequent public reporting.
